Who We Are
In 1986, Owners Ruth Ava Lyons and her partner sculptor Paul Sires were the first pioneering artists and founders who started the NoDa Arts district, an abandoned mill village commercial area that they blossomed into an arts and entertainment area.They owned Center Of the Earth Gallery for 23 years and also own Eden Orion Realty and X Foundation studio spaces.
Both are professional artists. Ruth is the recipient of many grants and residencies and her work is contained in galleries and museum collections.She is represented locally by Hidell Brooks gallery. She also does public art projects. www.ruthavalyons.com
Paul works in the unforgiving medium of granite for his large-scale sculptural works that can be viewed in Charlotte and beyond. His other interests include his band and his restoration of a national registry location in Craggy, NC. and Salisbury,NC
